The Pakistan Cricket Board announces the PSL 11 schedule with eight teams competing across six cities including Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi and Peshawar.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially released the schedule for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The highly anticipated 44-match T20 tournament will take place from March 26 to May 3, with matches scheduled across six major cricket venues in Pakistan.
This season marks a historic milestone for the league as eight teams will participate for the first time, expanding the competition and bringing a new level of excitement for cricket fans.
Two New Franchises Join PSL
The upcoming season introduces two brand-new teams to the tournament:
- Hyderabad Kingsmen
- Rawalpindi Pindiz
Both franchises were successfully acquired during the latest PSL auction. Hyderabad Kingsmen were purchased for Rs1.75 billion, while Rawalpindi Pindiz secured their spot in the league with a Rs2.45 billion bid.
The addition of these teams signals the start of a new era for Pakistan’s premier T20 league, increasing the competition and expanding the fan base.
PSL 11 Venues and Host Cities
Matches in PSL 11 will be played in six different cities across Pakistan:
- Faisalabad
- Karachi
- Lahore
- Multan
- Peshawar
- Rawalpindi
For the first time in PSL history, Faisalabad and Peshawar will host matches. The inclusion of these cities aims to bring the excitement of PSL cricket to more fans around the country.
Tournament Format and Playoff Structure
During the group stage, each team will play 10 matches in a round-robin format. After the league stage concludes, the top four teams in the points table will advance to the playoffs.
The playoff stage will include:
- Qualifier 1
- Eliminator
- Qualifier 2
- Final
The knockout matches will be played from April 28 to May 3, determining the champion of PSL 11.
Opening Match and Final Details
The opening match of the tournament will take place at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 26, featuring defending champions Lahore Qalandars against the new franchise Hyderabad Kingsmen.
The same venue will also host the PSL 11 final on May 3, with May 4 reserved as a backup day in case of weather interruptions.
Gaddafi Stadium will host 15 matches in total, including three double-header match days.
Match Distribution Across Stadiums
Several major stadiums will host PSL 11 matches:
- Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium – 11 matches including one qualifier
- Iqbal Stadium (Faisalabad) – 7 matches in its PSL debut season
- National Bank Stadium (Karachi) – 6 matches
- Multan Cricket Stadium – 4 matches featuring Multan Sultans
Meanwhile, Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar formerly known as Arbab Niaz Stadium — will host its first-ever PSL match on March 28 between Peshawar Zalmi and Rawalpindi Pindiz.
Double-Headers and Match Schedule
The tournament will include 12 double-header match days, providing fans with multiple matches in a single day and adding more entertainment to the PSL calendar.
Media Accreditation for PSL 11
The PCB has also opened the media accreditation process for PSL 11. Journalists and media organizations can submit their applications through the PCB’s official online portal.
Applications will remain open until 7 PM on March 13, after which the board will review and approve eligible requests.
